Hello All, Happy to be a proud owner of a new TI. Maiden sail was yesterday, stayed in the bay. Launched from our new trailer. Launching and loading was a breeze from our Trailex trailer and the TI operated flawlessly. Only glitch, seat adjustment straps would slip back when we put any pressure on them. I suppose we will find a way to lock them in. I must say we are very happy with the boat and trailer combo.

A quick fix is to tie a knot around the strap under tension (the straps with the hook), using the loose end of each strap. It will slip a little before locking, so tighten the seat a little bit more upright than you want it before tying.

For a more adjustable fix, add a second buckle to the straps to double lock them.

Congratz on your new Wundertoy!
I`m sure you`ll get years of joy out of your decision.

There are ways to add extra fasteners to the webbing if you need to (as Reconlon mentioned). However may I ask that you check the way your webbing was attached at the factory.

I ask as my AI with single buckles on each side are`solid as a Rock`(so sue me P. Seeger...)

Someone from the land down under actually put 3 sets of buckles of each as the settings in that seat are huge (which could work undone as you put many miles behind you). I stand behind the idea as it is a pain on your back having to readjust the straps as you work the boat). Speaking as a Chronic Back Pain sufferer.

Fred

I am based in Sarasota Florida, USA. I have seen on the blogs there are a few other sailors here. We have been in a rainy weather pattern lately, but once we get back to good old Florida sunshine, I will be on the water much more. I belong to a kayak fishing club here and hope to do some serious fishing in the Gulf.

Congrats. Love my TI! Especially with the new rudder. Sure you will have lots of fun with it.

On the seat straps I adjusted and then put a knot in the strap to keep them from slipping. Works great and requires no other adjustments. It was simple and held up for over a year now.
