Remove the valve. You need a slot tool often found onmetal valve caps to undo them.

Here is the easy way to install the cart in the water.
Remove the wheels first. Install the frame, be sure to install the keeper pin. Then INstall the wheels one at a time. You only need about 12 inches of water to do it this way and there is no risk of cocking the frame in the scupper holes.

NOHUHU:
I went to walmart and bought a couple bottles of a product called slime. It a bright green gel (for bikes) that has fibers in it so it's self sealing, actually pretty neat stuff. I put 1 bottle into each Wheeleez grey tire.

Just don't do what I did, I had a sea shell caught in between rubber of the tire and the rim, I flipped the boat down and the tire blew. Well that bright green slime completely covered my wife who was standing next to the boat. She still doesn't trust me to this day.

What I did to get it in there was remove the valve stem, and squirted the slime into the tire, it comes with a piece of rubber tubing, and also a valve stem remover tool (those valve stem removers are hard to find any more).
If you fill the tire completely with water or slime it gets way too heavy.

Hope this helps
Bob

I'm inclined to agree with you.
Water etc adds a lot of weight and it's still difficult to get them in on the TI (compared to the slimmer AI).

I for one will be in the front of the cue for a new model if Hobie can devise a way to have the wheels fitted to the hull in such a way that you simply pull a lever up and down (like the dagger board) to activate them. I really don't see this as being too difficult. In the up position I envisage that the wheels would be located either side of the hull - similar to this
http://www.sealegs.com/
The Aka cross brace would have to be used to support the wheels and fittings, which in the current design would be too much strain on them. However I'm sure there is a simple solution to this.

MM,

Got it. Pivoting, drop down landing gear that flip up, over the Akas,.. possibly creating a soft headrests for the passengers on the tramps.

Will make sure we have a 3rd wheel inserted and locked into the drivewell, so you can roll her right up to the car. (Maybe just keep the sail deployed?)

Image

Will mention this in the batcave. It can't be any crazier than the project that's just getting underway,..

Fusion- I couldn't beat that story with a stick! Thanks for the tip and the chuckle.

Yes Yes!!

Put me at the top of the list!

Actually, I'm surprised the batboat hasn't got this already

Umm, I believe Yakabout has a Mod he used to allow my Fat Tyre Cart to accept the standard skinny/hard wheels by using garden hose to space the wheel away from the frame and thin Poly Pipe to act as a Shim for the larger wheel hub axle hole.

Thats what I did also, I hardly ever use the grey Wheeleez tires anymore. The Wheeleez HD tires are easier to pull the boat with on everything except soft dry sand, and load under the boat (under water) much easier, plus they weren't too expensive (I got mine at the Hobie dealer). I still carry the other ones around but seldom use them. I made my own spacers from plastic tubing and stuff I picked up at home depot.
