Posting pictures is easy enough once you get the hang of it.

You have to store your pictures on a picture hosting site. I use photobucket.com its freee & easy to use. After creating an album and uploading you click on the picture and you get several image links to choose from. Select the image link and copy to clipboard (ctrl c) the paste into your post (ctrl v) it is that simple. The image link will appear in your post text and when done the image will appear once you submit the post.

Pictures form your digital camera can be quite large and take forever to upload. I use Fotosizer a free image resizer to shrink the file sizes and make them quicker to upload. 800x600 or 640x480 are the only sizes you need to use for posting. The Fotosizer will do single or batch resizing and is a great tool to have.

Hi Revo, I used the photobucket trick, but feel the pictures are a bit smallish appearing here, anyway to answer your question, yes I had to cut a piece of the bar, and drill the new holes.. No problem, and due to the position it was easy to through bolt the brackets, great access from the rear hatch.
Did some work on the sail setup as well, cleats, furling etc, so going for a test drive with that coming weekend, will not forget my camera this time...

looks like a nice setup regarding the sidekick installation. I was wondering, how do you adjust the height of the amas from your seat?? Seems like a long reach from the seat.

I am researching sidekick mounting and came across this very informative thread. I can see where through-bolting would be secure whereas well nuts seem problematical -- does anyone have extended experience with the well nuts?

Also, placing the sidekicks further aft seems like a good idea to avoid interference with paddling and fishing but why was it necessary to shorten the mounting bar? Reducing the width reduces stability. How much was taken off the length of the bar?

Hi there, I took of only the the slightest bit of the bar maybe 2.5 inch, so it would not stick out over the gunnel when the sidekicks are not in use.
Cant see any difference in stability
