Hobie 16 1986 vintage
When I open the drain hole on my port hull, small bits of plastic sheeting come out, and sometimes they partially block the flow.
I'm guessing it's plastic sheeting used to lay up the initial construction. But, if anyone knows this to be an initial sign of interior delamination, I'd like to hear about it.
The hull has no holes that would allow the plastic to have been inserted after original construction. I suppose someone could have stuffed some plastic in through a stanchion, but that doesn't make sense to me.
Anyone?
