A bag shaped like a saddle to go over the skeg molding would be good. Without a bag or something, anything put in this hatch is lost inside the boat. Even small dry bags can start sliding around. if they made the 6" hatch bag for the 8" hatch, at least you could drop some stuff in it and keep it contained. As is, my hatch has only been used to reach in and run wiring.

Has anyone ever come up with a use for the back hatch, other than as an access point?

Any word from Hobie about possible accessories for this hatch?

Hobie makes a 6" drop-in bag, seems like it would be easy for them to make an 8" drop-in bag.

you could, just buy one and install it. im glad they dont come with them, would add to the cost!
