Texas Gulf Coast Hobie Island Regatta

We have moderators who can take down articles on the site when we mention names.

Spoke to the boss today and the update is that the Texas regatta is still on and they're shooting for mid July. They are trying to work out sponsorship now. This should be a fun event. I have always wanted to race go-carts. I never thought it would end up being the aquatic version.

Hope theses end up regular events.

My island Club in Omaha is also hosting our first Regatta July 10th. It's on a good sized lake, I figure the first leg will have a nice reach. The second and third legs will be tack and pedal. Should make for a very interesting day.
For fun, I am also encouraging water guns, and a prize for biggest fish caught while racing.
Might also include a kayak class for people to pedal race.
