Cradles for 2015 AI

I am on the verge of purchasing a 2015 AI and trailer. I was told by a very reputable dealer this weekend that for cradles for the 2015 AI using the Hobie designated Trailex trailer, this dealer uses the tandem island cradles instead of the cradles designated by Hobie for the 2015 AI. He said the tandem cradles work better than the ones for the AI. Does this sound right?

They are similar. Better? Not likely but would work.

Thanks for the prompt reply Matt. I assume from your wording that although the tandem cradles would work the cradles specified for the AI 2015 would be a better fit. I'm thinking about how the boat would best slide up onto the trailer and cradles from the water at a boat ramp. Thanks again.

If you go with the AI cradles make sure you get supplied the VERSION #2 2015 AI cradles, my dealer didn't know about the Hobie 2015 Cradle Upgrade offer so I have the original ones which have no support cradles for the front of the AMA's. They work but I woudnt want to trailer it a long distance or on a bumpy road.
