I would recommend looking up videos on plastic welding. There are a lot of videos on repairing cracks in hulls. The nice thing is that the hull is pretty much good as new when you are done. I would watch the videos but I think one key step is to drill a hole at each end of the crack to stop its spread. Then they often widen the crack and then fill with new plastic. That is a pretty vague description but it should help you find the correct videos.
I used plastic welding to fill a hole when I moved my anchor trolley and it seems as strong as the rest of the hull. My nephew dropped his kayak and cracked it a few years back and did a plastic weld to fix it. Worked (and is still working) like a charm.
