I'm out in the boonies so the posts here are more infrequent. Coronavirus panic has gripped this area, even with very few cases statewide and none in this county, so that has also made things more difficult. Anyway, here are a lot of kayak fishing photos from the desert southwest.

Been fishing at night because it is the calmest part of the day. Wind has been a major factor. We've had good success fishing at night.

The fishing has been slow due to cold winter river water, but the water is warming up and so is the kayak fishing action.

There are a few hazards to look out for.

Most of the fishing is in the reeds and cattails. A kayak is perfect for this type of fishing.

Kayaks can launch in places boats can't get to.

This is the west, so there is fire.

Weather ranges from calm and sunny to torrential rain, wind and flash flooding.

Great early spring kayak fishing action!

Largemouth bass spawning nest.

I've caught some nice largemouth bass so far this early spring.

Looking forward to leaving the city and coronavirus panic behind for more desert kayak fishing.
