1981 Gonzo Like New .. too new to sail ?

Hey gang.

About to celebrate my 50th... only thing i knew that made sense for the mid life crisis .... buy another 16

Drove 14 hours.. to pick her up

What i was able to pick still has me speechless ! A time capsule !

A NEVER USED 81 Gonzo ! Sails , boat , blocks , lines , everything in as close to NOS as it could be without being from a museum.

BUt now im feeling the old age on possibly a little smarter.. ?

Do i sail her and give her the life and beatings she deserves and yearns for ?

OR do i disassemble and let her sleep peacefully to re wake her 10-15yrs down the road ?

Wow, never used? I would sail her anyway but I think I'd also find myself being extremely careful about everything. I sure wouldn't want hull scratches where there were none, etc.

You have an opportunity to keep the boat in that condition and also sail it; go for it!
