Not sure what in the world is going on in Panama City concerning the weather, but it appears that the last few days have been 15-20 with gusts to 30 and coming out of the North. However, the weekend is possible storms with winds of about 5 out of the South.

Boy, are you a "glass half empty" kind of guy.

Highs 77° - 84° F
Lows 53° - 65° F

And there's only a 20% chance of showers on Sat / Sun.

Looking out my office window right now, it's 35° F, overcast, snow flurries and windy. The only good part about that is the wind.

I really don't care if the wind doesn't blow. That's not what I'm going to FL for.

My glass is only half empty because the beer is might tasty . We are ready to get this sailing season started!!

Bite me Texas boy. Still a little chilly here in Sooner land. Can't imagine what those poor saps in Iowa and Michigan are going thru.

Yeah, still cold and crappy all over the northland. I don't know why Minnesota is the land of 10,000 lakes. Seven months out of the year its the land of 10,000 ice patches .

I was out on the water today running the mark set boat a bit, burr it sure was cold mid 60's and the wind was light but it was here, about 10 most of the day but shifty, should be settled in by this weekend and be warm and light winds but WARM.

The ice finally melted off most of the local lake up here last week. So I'm guessing about 35-40 degrees. Sound like fun?

Fun? Maybe not. But I have sailed those water temps.

John should have warmer water at Hefner. I've sailed quite a few times this winter. And since I windsurf, I'm probably in the water more than someone catting.

But do me a favor... Order up some warm weather for early May. I'm flying up to Sioux Falls for my mother's b-day.

checked NOAA today and their saying 10-20 for saturday and sunday. can't wait

Maybe where you're at, but not in Panama City.

Friday's looking to be the best day - high of 76 deg. and wind at 9 mph from the south.

Saturday looks very light and shifty. Sunday not much better.

Saturday's iffy here. Sunday looks 15-20 SE. But it's blowing good right now - our weather station says 20mph.

As good as you guys are in shipping my stuff, I should just shut my mouth .
Water @ Lake Hefner in OKC is supposedly in the mid to upper 50's. The kite boarders have been taking advantage of the huge winds lately (20-30's), but still too cold and windy for me. We have our first division race in just under four weeks in Lawton. Should be warmed up to mid 60's by then.

We figure if we're not quick that you'll come visit in person.













Depending on what part of the lake I'm sailing, or if the power plant is running, Ray Hubbard is about the same temperature. I do usually wait for the sunny days. As shallow as Hefner is, it may even warm up quicker than Hubbard.

I've sailed the last 3 or 4 weekends in a row. I also got sessions in the first weeks of Jan and Feb. And I'm only using a 4/3 semidry. So it can be done.

But you gotta want it. How bad do you want it?
