This is my boat shed. The AI is suspended on its side with web straps and moved out from the wall by pulling the roller pipe forward. The straps are threaded though the base of the x-bars but I've hung other kayaks similarly. Loosen the straps and it lowers the boat to the truck rack.
The sail travels in a 4" x 10' pvc pipe with the end caps removed. The steel bars on the rack are covered with 1'1/4" pvc to prevent scratching the boat.
There has been no warping using this storage method.
Roadrunner, do you get any flat spots from using the wooden brackets for an extended period?
