New Boat

So when is the boat gonna be released to the public I wanna see this thing you got my interest when 09 revised models got released and told of a totally new boat well the season is now upon us I want to see this boat and decide whether I'm getting it or a Outfitter.

Looks like detailed information will be available in 10 days. Pre-production boat will be at a Bassmasters event about the same time. Production due to start in early March.

Yep Feb 20th will be the day information gets released!

Well hopefully there will be one @ the Fred Hall Show @ Long Beach beginning of March.

that might be pushing it. Production is expected to start mid March, with dealer receiving them the end of March. However Long Beach and the factory are very close so it may happen.

We are talking more of a Mirage "Boat" than Kayak for sure. Not unlike handling a Sunfish or Laser hull on a dolly.

Somewhere I have a video of a Laser blowing off the roof of a station wagon... And surviving. I hope not to see the same thing for a Pro Angler.

I'm guessing you guys had to come up with a new cart to haul that much.... vessel.

Plug-in cart still works, but yes... sling dolly is in the works.

That boat has some really great features!

Hull weight 88 pounds

Fully rigged 138 pounds

What comprises the extra 50 pounds?

Just looking at the boat and the description, it can add up fast.

88# of plastic means powder. In addition to that there are:

embedded brass attachment points for seat, grab rails, rudder, Click N Go, etc. -- probably a couple dozen at least

seat and mounting hardware

rudder, rudder control, cable housing

4 grab rails and mounting hardware

2 hatch liners and 8" hatch

6 rod tubes

all accessory mounts, padeyes, bungees, etc.

C & G units

standing pads, cutting board and any other surfaces

this may or may not also include Drive and paddle

It doesn't look like any one item weighs all that much, but there appears to be a lot of goodies. I don't know if this accounts for the weight differential or not, but if you put it all in a pile, it would definitely be a two handed lift!
