I'm assembling an H18, I have anchor bars in the front and rear cross bar tramp slots, I don't see them in the H18 parts list or assembly manual. Did the previous owner get creative, or am I missing somthing? I see them for the H17, part number 50101701, whats the purpose and how are they installed?
thanks for the support!!

Likely the boat had wings at one time. The anchor bars would have been used as the inboard attachmant point of the legs. You can slide them out of the way or cut the tramp to fit over if wings may be reinstalled someday.

If you don't have wings, remove them the next time you have the tramp off. They weigh about a pound. (If you want to reduce weight)

BTW: Some aftermarket tramps do not have a 45 degree cut on the tramp corners for the wing mounts.... another reason for OEM.

I left them in as I have dreams of wings at some point in the future!
