I'm looking to buy a window sticker for my car. Ideally I'd like it to be plain white and possibly with the word "SAILING" under it.

I might make something tonight and see if I can find a place to manufacture them. Anyone interested? If there's enough interest, I could even do "KAYAKING" AND "SURFING" versions as well.

I think everyone needs to show off their old school Hobie stickers for some inspiration.
What ya got?

We have a selection of stickers shown in the catalog.

I don't know if it's copyright infringement to sell the images I made, but here are some examples. I may get a sticker shop to do the sailing one for myself. They would be clear except white lettering (look great on my black Xterra).

Selling the images or stickers would be an infringement.

I figured that. So I'll probably just have a sticker shop make one for myself.

wouldn't that still be an infringement! instead of you infringing the laws, you are getting the sticker shop to instead.

Buy a Hobie sticker and get the sticker shop to make you "sailing" sticker of the appropriate size to go underneath, easy :)

It's still an infringement. A reputable screen printer or embroidery shop will not do business with you if they see the registered trademark symbol anywhere on the item, or if they know the artwork / logo is registered. Some shops will require a letter of permission from the owner of the trademark (in this case the Hobie Cat Company) stating you have their express permission to use it.

Actually, the Alter family owns the trademarks. Hobie Cat licenses the mark from them. Permission would need to come from Jeff Alter for a "Hobie" sticker or Hobie Cat Company, USA for a "Hobie Cat" sticker (in North America / Australasia).

That's a good idea, I'll buy the sticker from hobie.com on Monday then get to work on the "sailing" portion to put under it.

Thanks for all the tips!

I was checking out the sticker in the Hobie store, but I don't think it's a window sticker. I don't want to just put a normal sticker on my rear window...

http://www.hobie.com/store/buy.asp?i=1294&c=139&d=Gear

Any ideas where I can get a "window sticker"? I was hoping for it to be clear except just a white 'H'.

So is there anywhere I can buy a window sticker for my car? I'd really like to put one on.
