Mickey,
Other than handling it on land, I think the TI will out sail the AI and handle just as well on the water. Once on land, then the 50% heaver hull and longer lengths of everything could offset the gains on the water. Try talking the wife into keeping the AI, at least until you get a few tandem AND solo sails in the TI to decide.
A great detailed Roadrunner review of the TI would help a lot towards answering many of our questions. (hint, hint!)
reconlon - I agree. In many ways I guess my reservations relate to the additional difficulties associated with managing the larger boat on land.
I have been in touch with my dealer and have now joined the waiting list for the first batch to land here. I hope they have more coming than people waiting.

The introductory price is comparable to the US ($5,500 AUD) & he delivers from Canberra to Gippsland Lakes (6 hr drive) & is throwing in a new large plug-in kart and large silver wheels.
If they don't arrive soon - or they are already all taken, I will probably hold off until we return from our planned trip to Europe later this year.
One day I hope to come across & have some Hawaiian adventures with you
Off course you are always welcome to here - there's enough AIs here to make sure you would have one.
