We took our Sport and Outback out today (still waiting for the TI to arrive) and had a wonderful day on the water. We decided to go to Pohick Bay, which is just south of Mount Vernon, outside of Washington, DC:

Just getting started:

Then we saw this fawn from the water and I decided to see just how close I could get to it:

We continued on, looking for more critters:

Not only did we see turtles, osprey, great blue herons and fish of all types - we also saw this water snake:

Then returned the way that we had come:

All in all, a great five hours out on the water today!

Watching that video made me think, "Things you can't do with a paddle kayak" All the movement of paddling would have scared that fawn away much earlier.

Great shots.

My wife is a poor swimmer and the blue cushions are intended as backup, in the event the CO2 cartridge doesn't work in her inflatable life vest.
