Mirage Classic cassette plug

Ordered a few parts for my recently acquired Mirage Classic and the cassette plug I ordered isnt a real good fit. I searched available part #'s and could only find 81535001. Should I have ordered a different part #?
My Classic has no HIN.
Just finished milling some delrin for an adapter for a 'twist and stow' rudder... Next step setting up new control lines and any possible adjustments to make adapter/rudder function.
Also hoping to find an old cargo cover for one of these...I understand they are no longer available.

Enjoyed my Hobie Holder 12 many years ago.

Is it a too tight fit? The older drive wells are a bit smaller. A recent plug needed to be sanded and bent a bit to fit in my 2006 adventure. Dont think you can get older ones anymore

The fit is generic. It is only really intended to keep you from stepping into the well when the drive is not in place. Rocking for and aft is typical.

No sanding...material is like milk jug plastic. Just double checking in case I ordered wrong.
I do plan on ordering some of that white plastic to repair some cracks soon.
