I recently purchased the Hobie 12' Mirage Passport Kayak. It has the pedal drive, but when I'm not using the pedal drive and have it stowed on the back of my kayak, I really need some foot braces while paddling for support. I have searched online and called several sporting goods stores including the one I purchased the kayak from. No one seems to have an answer for me. I also contacted Sea-lect Designs bc they have several interesting foot braces and this is what they told me: "Looking at the kayak on line I think it may be a challenge to fasten a footbrace to the hull due to a lack of access. I’m not saying it cant be done but it will take some creativity and fabrication of additional parts to make it happen. We don’t have anything that is a direct bolt in footbrace." Can anyone help with if it is possible to attach a foot brace kit to this kayak and if so, what ones will work and how to attach them? Thank you so much for any advise/help!! Girl whose legs fall asleep on long river journeys!
