I just had an outfitter cancel my backorder for the Hobie Evolve v2 motor kit. They said that Hobie has opted to discontinue it.

Anyone know what the inside scoop is? If they have indeed stopped making these, is there a comparable substitute out there? For a Tandem Island. I especially liked the fact that it drops into the mirage drive well, and is removable while on the water...

This is not discontinued. We have had considerable issues getting the needed parts, but thay are still planned for production.
