Can anyone help me identify the major components of this boat? Hulls and mast? I'm thinking its a 17 not an 18.

Pics here - www.virtualturf.com/hobiecat.htm

I saw that the other day (ebay?)

Looks nice from a distance. I didn't notice all the crazy mismatchings though.

Yeah, the boat is only 50 mi away from me, if I had time before auction close I'd run over there and check it out. If the mast and sails are Hobie 17 and not some missmatch, it could be a great buy.

We think its an old H17 (that's been repainted or something?) with a H16 mast step and rig...without wings...and some kind of home-made rudder assembly - I wouldn't touch that thing if it was given to me.

If you gave it to me, I'd sell it on E-Bay, using an alias !!!!!

Who won it?

I spent the last 10 minutes debating on whether or not to bid... decided not to. I thought it would be a good buy to part out and use some of it, but I don't have the time right now, nor the space.

If any of you bought it, let me know. I may want to buy a part or two off of ya.

Yeah me 2. I wanted the tramp. Would have bid but didn't make it back in time. It sold for $158.

It has Hobie 17 hulls, Hobie 16 mast and front crossbar. Not a bad price to pay to go out on the water and have fun!! Isn't that what it's all about anyway?!?!
