I have a 1984 H18 that I recently purchased, but I can't find the anchor plate kit for sale. Does anyone have a kit for sale he'd be willing to purchase with?

Thanks - Al

I know they are for sale in Australia from The Life Aquatic in Sydney. Contact Simon there and see if he will post to you.

If The Life Aquatic can’t help you, then try Scott Lovig Hobie at:

https://slhobie.com.au/hobiecats/sails- ... JoMTgiXQ==

Scott’s shop seems to have three anchor kits in stock. If they won’t send to USA come back to me and I’ll buy it for you and post to USA.

Yippee!!!!!

Make it in USA. Ship it down under and we’ll service your ass off to get it back to you. The only company that makes money from this incredible situation is UPS or the Post. Go figure.

But hey, who cares. You got your part and I’m happy to help.

I love my anchor plate kits. I put em on the front beam, side stays and rear beam. The Full Monty.

My tip is to use larger O.D. washers than what is supplied by Hobie Cat Co. The bigger the bearing surface on the inside of the hull the better. Plus use a nice smear of white sikaflex in each hole and on the washers to ensure no leaks.

And remember........Tighten the nuts, not the bolts.

Enjoy!
