2022 Hobie Compass - 2 screws in right side of cockpit.

What are the 2 screws for on the right side of the inside of the kayak, in front of the tiller lift string.

They are an integral part of the tiller/rudder lifting and lowering system. Don't mess with them.

Have this same question. Kevinsta, have you figured this out yet?

There is a turning block on the inside... as noted... leave them be.

Is there a parts diagram for this turning block? The aft screw on my Compass is not mounted to anything - it slides right out. I don't know if it's supposed to thread into the pulley assembly, or if it passes through and is secured with a nut.

After relocating the round hatch to the bow, I gained sufficient access to what's behind those two screws. If feels like plastic and has recesses for nuts. I failed to find the missing nut, and now have a substitute installed and both screws are snugged down.

I'm disappointed that there's no supporting documentation readily available for these detail parts & assemblies.
