I recently purchased a new Hobie Compass, and am wondering the best way to attach a tow line for slow towing behind a boat, or to tie the kayak off to the boat or beach when not in use. Also would be nice to use tow line for lifting kayak on to boat roof. Or what is the best way to anchor screws or tow eyes into the kayak?

A light rope attached to the lifting cleats should do fine for towing or tethering. But for lifting onto a boat you'd want to support/cradle the hull from underneath.
