 Post subject: rudder noise

Hi
I have a 1970 hobie 16, anda the rudder make some noise when i get some speed.
What can i do to fix it?

Theoretically, making noise costs energy and, to some extent, slows down the boat.
However, I love it when I get to the speed that "makes her hum".
Enjoy it.

It's hard on the rudder hardware, though.

I have done that to my rudders, to eliminate the humming. But have also found that as I get to the end of the season, or the following season, it will gradually come back. It's like a tell tale sign, Things are getting out of whack back there, and that its time to check/replace/adjust: rudder blades, bushings, pins, pivots, cams, alignments.
