Recently acquired a really well kept Hobie Cat 14 with very little info and, other than it likely came from the 1960s. The guy I got it from said his dad had it for many years, before passing away and leaving it to him. There is no HIN in the standard location (near rudder) and front metal pylons are stamped with "808". I also have a sail with the numbers 538, and the old vessel registration number from here in CA. Not sure what will be the easiest to find out a little more info with. Any help would be appreciated!

Hi CCSails,

Hobie only started engraving hull numbers on their boats in 1973 so their isn't much info for boats that are older than that, unfortunately. Did you have a specific question about the rigging or parts currently on the boat?
