Howdy All,
Anyone ever use these bushings? What's your opinion? My casting to rudder pin pivots are starting to get sloppy as the metal wears away. (I have aluminum pins). I wouldn't mind replacing the nylon bushings as they wear-out (eventually).

I've used bushings for years. Good stuff....nice tight fit.

A sailing friend of mine's wife was a diabetic and the caps off of the insulin were a perfect size as a bushing. I moved and haven't seen him in years....and my supply is about exhausted.

Hey Bernie? Are you looking at this forum? If so, can you send me more caps???

It did require that the holes in the rudder castings be enlarged slightly. Then you'd take a cap, cut off the top, and tap it into place. Very tight fit for a whole season. No slop at all.

Jon
