I have been doing a fair amount of research on the 2019 Outback and figured I would start cruising the forums for real feedback rather than the media propaganda you get in all the advertisements.
First is about weight capacity. I see the kayak is rated at 425lbs. I am a larger gent (305lbs), who could definitely stand to lose a few pounds for sure, but I noticed in one of the setup videos that the new seat is only rated for 275lbs. Should I be concerned and start fasting (
)? I intend to use the kayak for fishing as well as some leisure and don't want issues.
Pricing: I know the 2019 Outback just came out and is a full design so I am not expecting to see any sales does pricing from dealer to dealer fluctuate or is Hobie similar to an Apple product where pricing is dictated by the manufacturer?
Warranty: I see that there is a 3yr warranty on the kayak. Does this same warranty cover the drives as well?
Lastly Drive concerns: I didn't see where the MD180 was redesigned for the 2019 as well. Are there any design concerns I should be aware of going into this?
TIA
