Hello all. New here. Did a search with no answer.
Recently acquired a barebones 2016 mirage outback.

Needs a mirage drive, seat, and accessories.

Question: 1) want to get the MD 180 with turbo fins. Will that fit my kayak? Do I need to modify anything?

Also needs a seat. Looks like it needs the vantage CT, correct?

Best place to purchase these and accessories?

Thx again.

The 180 drive will fit, no modifications needed. Not sure about the seat part number but you can look that up through Hobie. If you are looking to buy a new drive and seat, find a local dealer. Sometimes you can find used drives but usually it is an older style drive because they upgraded to a 180. Enjoy your Outback!

Hobie kayaks being offered for sale without a drive and a seat were usually stolen off somebody's vehicle. You can't get good title to a stolen kayak. If the owner of the kayak locates it, the police can take it from you and return it to the owner, leaving you with a probably worthless claim against whoever you bought the kayak from. You shouldn't consider buying a kayak which doesn't have a drive and/or a seat unless the seller has a mighty persuasive explanation for why the drive and the seat are missing.

I agree with pmmpete's comment.

It's also possible the hull leaks and it was supposed to be destroyed once the hull was replaced under warranty.

It's also possible the seat and drive was stolen and the hull was left.

Assuming its not a stolen hull, suggest making sure the hull is sound and not leaking before buying a seat and Mirage drive.
