My MD180 Turbo fin broke off at my last trip and the dealer is telling me that they are on backorder. He wants to install a regular fin and leave the other turbo on. Will that work or feel strange?
Thank you, Russianriverfan

I bet it will work, maybe with a hint of yaw side to side. It's weird that such asymmetry doesn't unbalance something, but root of fins are situated fore and aft rather than left and right, and are synched together. I always keep my original short fins and masts on hand for self repair, and it never occurred to me until now that I can probably mix and match.
