UPDATE: my hobie 12 passport expected in June and then August came at very end of July. Still in shop for a few modifications, but if you are in NC, Great Outdoor Provision Co is a great hobie dealer so far - knowledgeable and keep me updated, especially as they work on mods. FYI my original post says I ordered in March but just saw it was actually April when I put my money down here in NC. If you haven't gotten yours yet, it will come.

ORIGINAL POST:
Request:
Please post anything about your passport here or on YouTube

East coast facts:
For those eagerly awaiting your passport, my dealer just told me it will now be August until I get the seagrass green passport 12 - originally expected in June. I am on the east coast, think I ordered in February or early March from a small (less than 10 stores) authorized dealer.

Babble:
As I am pretty sure these thermoformed hulls come from France, I am guessing there were unexpected shipping delays (I live in a port town, and while I don't think they have a backup like I read about on the west coast, I can tell you the container truck traffic near the port has increased tenfold recently). I also guess this delay was pretty hard for hobie to predict and my dealer was honest with projected dates at time of order. In the scheme of things, I am also guessing I am really lucky to be waiting on my pretty new kayak for 6 months.

That being said I am sadly consuming any Hobie passport por* I can get my hands on. e.g: fishing videos on YouTube (I don't fish), checking the forum a couple times a week, watching Spanish speakers discuss their new passports on youtube (I don't speak much Spanish and no Portuguese, but the video of guy standing on bow is great and has subtitles), and even finding myself humming the song from the hobie passportsales video (nananananaa....).

So if you get a chance please post something here or on YouTube for this pathetic wannabe hobie kayaker
