Keel guard on a Passport?

Just wonder if any of you use a keel guard on your passport.
I have had kayaks in the past but never used any guard, apparently is a tendency
Now and wonder if I should keep my keel from the elements.

Any resources?

Berleypro make a 'Bumper bro' keel guard for the Lynx, and we sell a lot of them to Lynx users down here in Aus. We often find ourselves telling customers that Bumper Bros are unnecessary on the rotomolded hulls, but we think it makes a whole lot of sense for the Lynx.

Sorry to ask something off topic, but between a hobie sport 10.5 and the passport 10.5 what would be suitable to do light offshore fishing or crabbing , likely less than a mile from shore. If conditions were to get bad and choppy would the sport or the passport be safer to return into the harbor with? I have seen people take their sports offshore but not many have done so with the passport.

I would take a Passport over a Sport, mainly because it's going to be a little faster and more stable than a Sport in typical offshore conditions. Neither would be my first choice though. I'd be looking closer at a Passport 12 or Compass if I were you
