I was the fortunate recipient of a Mirage Lynx for Christmas; best wife in the world I think. Unfortunately we discovered a hole in the hull once we had a chance examine it.

The local shop that sold it to my wife unboxed it to "insure all parts were present". It might, however, been on display in their shop after purchase but before pickup.

My son-in-law picked it up, in his pickup truck with nothing else in the bed but a blanket to lay it on and secretly left it on our Trek deck for the giving event. Sadly he did not check it for damage when he picked it up

What do y'all think might have caused this damage and how would you broach the issue with the shop?

Your images are private. Can not see them. Lynx are repairable.

I found these instructions for repairing Bic Ace-Tec SUPs by filling gouges with epoxy. It looks pretty straightforward and I assume it would work on the Lynx as well.

I'm also going to put these PVC strips on the problem areas. My local river is rocky and no matter how careful I am damage is going to happen!

Thanks for the post. And adding photos to forum posts is something I need to work on.

I updated the links. You need to right-click on the image to get the image URL instead of a page URL.

This is one of the images: https://photos.smugmug.com/photos/i-VBFTX76/0/X2/i-VBFTX76-X2.jpg
