Post subject: 2022 Lynx paddle shaft cracking

I just noticed a crack on my paddle shaft that came with the lynx.

I've only taken the kayak out a handful of times since I purchased it in July. Paddles were only used during the launch.

does anyone have this issue or I pulled a short straw on this one?

Is this something that can be covered by Hobie's warranty?

Looks too straight to be a crack. Maybe a mold mark.

Nope it’s a crack. You can see the gap with little force

Really odd to go so straight through the wraped glass.

Have your dealer file a warranty claim.
