Hey All,

I recently got a 14 in great condition. Hardly any damage on the hulls, save for a scrape or two on the bottom of little concern.

I sail on a reservoir, and the boat is stored on a relatively rocky shore. Launching and recovering involves sliding it against these small rocks, and I'm worried how much damage I might be doing to the hulls.

I made a DIY Cat Trax, but I'm wondering, is it worse to store the cat on the dolly than on the beach?

Granted, the spot I'd store it isn't that bad. It's more just the launching that worries me.

I would probably just put a couple scrap pieces of 2x6 lumber or similar under the hulls to keep them up off the rocks.
