A friend has a Boston whaler supercat an he needs a 2" mast ball. He thinks it's made of teflon and I drew a 3d model to have it printed. Teflon/PTFE is not available, will nylon 12 suffice? What are these usually made of? Thanks in advance.

Thank you, do you think nylon will suffice?

Delrin is harder. Nylon may deform under load.

You can get a 2” Delrin ball from McMaster Carr. You would just need a machine shop to drill and tap it with the correct threads. Or if you have access to a drill press, you could probably do that yourself.
