The comptip on my Getaway has been broken (not in 2 parts), but seems to be smashed on transportation.
So I'll have to repair it e would like some advice on how to do it correctly.

1) Shall I use Poliester or Epoxi resin?
2) How many layers of fiberglass mesh shall I use?
3) Is there any other care I should have?

Thanks for the help!

Picture link didn't work for me, at least.

This one's tough-manufacturer won't give you recommendation because of the obvious liability, and the repair will not perform like a new product. Done right, it can be as strong, but you'll loose the flex that's built in. You might be better looking for a new or used one.

For repairs, you want a high grade epoxy, correct selection of different layers of cloth, some epic cleaning skills, etc. Thinking about it, I'm not sure how you'd repair a snapped comp tip correctly, and I've done a ton of critical repairs...it seems easier to piece it together gently, make a mold of it, then lay up a new one almost...of course, that would be 3 times the cost of a replacement...don't mean to rain on your parade, it's just not easy to repair a fiberglass tube without it looking like he'll on the outside...
