I had my Revo13 out on a freshwater lake for the first time last week. I'm new to using fishfinders, and do not know what I was seeing here. Can anyone tell me what the wavy lines are above the bottom level of the lake. It came and went quite a few times.
Thanks

the only time I have seen those sorts of signals on my elite 4chirp have been when trolling with a downrigger or bottom fishing with a heavy jig...

If it is constant as you move around it is obviously related to your yak, and as mentioned often your own lure/jig. If it matches the waviness of the bottom, then it is not the object bobbing up and down, it is your yak bob bobbing up and down, the bottom actually being flat.

A lure of similar will sometimes be in range of the scanner, and sometimes not, so its plot will come and go.

Always keep in mind with sounders it is a plot not a photograph so profile of bottom is not a cross section

The Hook-4 also includes an EKG. And It looks to me like your P and T waves are awful close together. You might want to see a doctor about that!

Sorry, I could not help myself.

Since I doubt you were using a down rigger in that shallow of water, I wonder how do you have your transducer mounted? I saw a post from you before that it was going to internal thru the hull. Almost seems like you might be seeing air between the hull and the transducer, or even water slouching between the hull and transducer.

I ended up getting a 2015, so the transducer is mounted in the Lowrance ready spot. The water was choppy, so perhaps it was the motion of the yak. I'll pay closer attention the next time I see it.
