The furler instructions are not much help with this issue. With my Oasis, if I secure the furler assembly at more or less level with the fairlead as indicated in the instructions, the pedal fouls the furler lines. Solution is to secure the furler assembly further up the mast but this means the furler lines will meet the fairlead at about a 30 degree angle. Is this how it is meant to be installed?
All advice is appreciated.

can the fairlead be moved further forward to move the lines clear of the pedals? I would think that this would be better than having the furler that much higher than the lines.

I could move it forward however the install diagram shows it at an angle. You'd think Hobie would have better instructions.

The instructions are generic as models and pedal positions vary.

Two important parts... Height of the furler and position of the double fairlead.

Item 2:
Quote:
Locate the best height for the furler on the mast. This will vary depending on your kayak model.

Item 3:
Quote:
Fairlead Mount to the rail of the kayak. Mark 5” behind mast base to the center point of the Fairlead.

I'm surprised if this causes conflict with the pedals... long legs? Instructions should include a note about checking for pedal conflict.
