When using the AMA sidekicks for stability sailing or fishing, my back rubs through the kayak chair against the rod that holds the sidekicks. I was thinking that some kind of hollow cylindrical cushion that wrapped around the metal rod might make it more comfortable. Anyone try this or have any suggestions?

Pool noodles make excellent cushions.....cut it to length and then slit it lengthwise so it can be installed over the offending support rod.
