I'm guessing the water was only 6-10 feet deep where we flipped. The sail had ripped in the mast track where the aluminum and comptip come together and some battens were broken. Nice work staying cool and getting that broken boat back to shore! I have been caught in a 60mph gust a couple times now.. both times followed by 30mph winds.. but both times it was on a smaller inland lake, and nothing even remotely like the videos I have seen around.. the wave action and sheer power ya'll were able to survive.. That is simply incredible.
