Mindful of a potential surf-launch tumble, I was considering a mounting a pair of tank straps to the floor of the rear well.
The tank would be solidly rigged/strapped with BC, but be fairly easily unrigged with a standard strap release. Seemed it might be less dangling than with bungees/hooks.
One aquaintence suggested it was too much . . . as might be all-the-way-around the hull 1" cam straps. Cams might keep the tank and hoses more flush and not have the gear stressing the well floor.
A suggested solution was adding some eyelets and using heavier bungies than the stock Revo criss-cross bungees.
I was thinking a wide backing plate under the well might protect the plastic, but be solid and clean and then have the strap mounts attach to that or loop through a facing flat plate.
Tank weights 20-30, with added weights on BC . . . 50. Might need to stow weight up front to balance . . . ?
Just wondering about the boat doing a bit of rotation.
