Bravo Inner Hull Marks?

While wiping our new Bravo down (with 303 protectant), I noticed that both inner hulls had a couple of round abrasions or rough marks a few inches in diameter. Is this normal? Maybe this is part of the process with plastic hulls...? Or is it a defect...?

... so, looking foreword through the drain holes, all four of these marks/scars seem to have a peg of excess plastic protruding within the hull... maybe part of the process, and not a defect...?

Yes. Likely the air vents.

I don’t remember them on my Getaway (2012?).
Is it a newer process?
Does it always leave a rough scar on the outside?

Getaways have a vent inside the cooler that is replaced by a hatch lid. Wave are under the seat pads. Kayaks are where hatches are added. They all have vents for roto molding.

Thanks Matt. Very interesting. Are their any video links that show the rotomolded process at Hobie. I would love to see how it’s actually done. It’s definitely revolutionized the boating industry... for good!
