Today was the first time out on my Hobie i11 inflateable . Unfortunately it was not exactly what I had planned . After getting it infalated with my Bravo 12v BTP pump which Worked well . I was not Able to get the rudder to move in more then one direction. I did not have any problem getting it to retract properly, but could not get the rudder to move in the opposite direction. Also, had difficulty getting the control handle to stay in place . I am aware of the screw that needs to be turned underneath the seat. However, using my fingers to turn the screw did not seem to be enough pressure to keep the panel on the seat . I realize many issues are operator error related . But, I contacted my local vendor ( Austin Canoe and Kayak and they did not know how to fix the issue . They decided to contact Hobie for advice . I have been a Hobie customer for over 50 years and am very confident in a positive solution. I will keep y'all posted on this story.
