Does anyone carry their INFLATED i11s or other inflatable kayak on a roof rack on the car? Any advise or best practices for doing so? I have Yakima racks and would use front & back tie downs too. I"m hoping to reduce the prep time at the launch if possible and not having to inflate and deflate on every trip sounds good to me. TIA

Daniel

Not advised to leave an inflatable kayak inflated for long periods especially in changing temperatures and pressures. This can cause the kayak to be over-inflated and damage seams. That would also happen if constricted by tie down line or straps for transport.

Short distance, slow speed, not over mountains or in extreme heat... maybe.

Best to de-pressurize all the way or at least a bit when not using the kayak.
