Hi all, I searched and couldn’t find any posting on the iTrek11 rudder line… so here goes…
I bought mine 6 months ago and noticed that my rudder line degrade overtime and frayed. The rudder plastics edges that sandwich the groove where it holds the line are very sharp. Each time the rudder cable is turn left or right, the small little nob that guide the rudder line will not aligned straight thus, the rope rudder line will rub against the sharp edges and over time cut through the rope.

My rudder line was severed yesterday while i was on the water. Thank goodness it was on a small lake and I was able to paddle back to shore after 2 hours of foot pedaling. My question to all the iTrek owners out there, do you have a fix for this? Does sandpaper help rough out the edges or do you have a better recommendation for this fix?
:)
Thank you for any suggestions you provide.
