Finally! Got the TI out into some water. I decided to go to a small lake to work out any other kinks that shall arise. Winds were light to moderate (10-15) and Boerne Lake was the lake of choice.

It was great! No comparison to sailing the TI to the Tandem Outfitter. TI hit 6 mph no problem - I have never been able to go over 5 mph in the Outfitter. Enough on that. Boats are very different.

The rudder did fine after the repairs. I did use the new pin instead of the repaired one. I ended up using Fiberglass and resin to add reinforcement to the rudder piece that had broken. The outing went flawlessly. Nothing but fun!

This sail was not long enough to come up with a major review but got to say it was an awesome ride this evening.

Right after launching.

And in photo 2 you have a semi smile on your face so I'm guess'n that the gate incident is becoming a distant memory.
Good to see all is going good mate.

Mark - This is fantastic news. I could swear that you are smiling in that video, but it's hard to tell. I was certainly smiling watching it. Congrats on your first sail in the TI.

As happy as I am for you, my heart is sinking thinking about the fact that my Double trailer was supposed to arrive this Thursday and has not yet arrived. Assembling the trailer was going to be my weekend project. The TI and Adventure were supposed to arrive by the end of June. My dealer has not responded to my last inquiries about the arrival dates of both the trailer and the boats. So, I'm getting worried. We have a lake vacation planned for three weeks from now and if we don't have these boats it's going to be a boring vacation. Although, my dealer promised that if the boats on order don't arrive, he will send his demo AI with me on vacation. So, that wouldn't be so bad.

I'm curious about what you worked out on mounting the registration numbers on the boat.

Happy sailing to you.

Thanks Mark Keith and Slaughter.

I love how the TI can point into the wind and go! (like a sailboat or something LOL). Also love how I can tack w/o having to peddle. The TI seems to keep some speed into the tack and is able to complete a tack w/o any extra assistance from me. Again, it's like it is a sailboat or something. Too Cool!
