Alright you wimps, time to put up or shut up. Here are some times to get things started. Since the distance was still up in the air, here are a few, starting with 1K for those who have no lasting power, up to 1 hour for a respectable short cruise. I know this is just a warm up for Kal.
Distance........Time(min/sec)....Speed
1k (.625 mi).........6:21.......5.95 mph (9.47kph)
1mi (1.6k)..........10:21.......5.81 mph (9.3kph)
2.5 mi (4k).........26:15.......5.71 mph (9.14kph)
5 mi (8k)...........52:15.......5.74 mph (9.18kph)
5.76 mi (9.22k)....1.0 hr......5.76 mph (9.22kph)
Well this didn´t add up for me. When I use 1851,851852m for one nautical mile and 1609,344 for the mile I belive you use, I get these values:
1 k…......in...6:21…..=...will result in...5.87 mph (9.45kph)
1 mi…....in…10:21...=...will result in...5.80 mph (9.33kph)
2,5 mi.....in…26:15...=...will result in...5.71 mph (9.20kph)
5 mi.…...in…52:15....=...will result in...5.74 mph (9.24kph)
5,76 mi...in…1:0 hr...=...will result in...5.76 mph (9.27kph)
Maybe I have done something wrong.
But differences are small and your results, Roadrunner, are excellent! Btw have you noticed that you get faster the longer you run? For the 2,5 mile , 5 mile and 1 hour runs. I think you are quite good at warming up!
Today the ice has melted away and I made the first run in my Adventure since oktober.
Oh! This was heavy! I am not at all fit for racing.
But I tried the 30 second boost run.
I made 2 runs, one with the wind from behind and one the opposite direction.
My average speed became 5,8 knots (10,8 kph).
Not at all competitiv. Long way to Pirates 6,2 knots.
But.
I´ll be back!
best regards from Sweden
