It is common knowledge that the Fijians turned to cannibalism after settling the Islands.

Where did they come from.

New Guinea is a thought as that could be the closest source of explorers.

New Zealand was well below from the closest ocean current.

The Natives of Australia were never seafaring.

Yet I have met a very large number of East Indians who claim that they are from Fiji, yet their accents are Hindi.

Odd, those Islands are incredibly rich, yet eating human flesh was considered as the most expendient way of resources.

What does this have to do with AI, TIs...

Well just another scenario if you research it and consider how many boats it would take to settle this incredible number of Islands (and what may have been missing)...

In a way this is not just a flight of fancy. The People of the South Pacific invented what we sail today. The Euros, The Arabs, the Orientals never invented the Amas and Akas. The Peoples of the South Pacific did. 2000 years later we are the beneficiaries of their brilliant inventions.
It only seems fitting that we learn the history of our sailing ancestors to make us appreciate the gift they gave us from so long ago.

Think about it, 600 years ago an Italian who scammed a Spanish Queen out of her crown jewels discovered North America (that was 700 years after the Vikings got tired of sailing across the Atlantic to Newfoundland for as much Cod as anyone could carry away). Their reconstructed settlements are still available today for view in Canada.

Well that would be another scenario, right.

Fred

Fred:
It just so happens that in ancient times the same group (from San Diego area) also settled FIJI, their navigator was so bad they missed the Polynesian Islands completely (something wrong with his GPS), the surfing was so bad in Fiji they ended up eating the navigator.

Please understand that this 'research' has cost me sleepless nights and at great expense to personal assets.
Reports are as follows:

600 AD; Location somewhere in the Fijian Islands.
(Recorded local legends):

High Scout to Chief WhoKNOWwho:
"Sir I fear the worst, there are invaders near by closing in on us. They seem to have crafts that only the Gawds could provide"
Chief: " rest yourself and tell me more, Head scout, (slips the bro same Kava)
Head Scout: "They sail like sea demons, their crafts are truly magical, they rise on one fin then another like the swiftest sharks in the deeper sea when they sense blood".
The chief stands and gazes out over the waters of his Island. The last rays of the sun kiss the gentle waters of their lagoon.
In the distance, he sees a vast number of small sailing crafts becoming larger as the sun sinks even further.
He has seen this menace before.
This is the Day he has dreaded since his people lost so much to get away from this scourge on the South Pacific
The Chief cannot believe that these Barbarians would have the nerve to attack his home again after all these years:
He dashes to the Drum and raises the alarm....
"RUN FOR YOUR LIVES, MY PEOPLE!!"
"IT'S THE CALIFORNIANS!!"

No further records were ever retrieved from this Island
However, The Economy, the dialects of the People have never been the same.
This is what is believed to have caused mass chaos as the people forgot how to farm the land; how they forgot how to live off the gentle ways of the Sea.

There is however one interesting story in this age old legend, of an artifact still hidden today known as the 'Arch of Two'.
Legend has it this artifact had a moto that was inscribed in an old and odd style of writing unknown to most.
Loosely translated it seems to say this cryptic message:
"Over 3 Million Fijians served"

Regards
Fred
