Hey all, (This edited from a 'windier' post) :D
I'm wondering if there are any TI owners up in Portland familiar with Lake Vancouver and the Sail Club.
It appears to be mostly Hobie 16s
Does anyone sail there this time of year? Must be cold.
Any input appreciated.

Hey Don-
I am a TI owner and member of the Vancouver Lake Sailing Club. There is another member who owns an AI, but I think that is it. There are a number of other Island owners in the area that sail Willamette and Columbia rivers so they can perhaps shed light on those spots. Regarding Vancouver Lake, there is very little sailing activity that time of year on the lake. Our club has a Frostbite race series on Feb 5 and 19 which may get a few centerboard boats (Lightnings) on the lake if conditions are nice, but the lake is usually quiet. There is a public launch on south end of the lake but is basically just where a gravel road ends into the lake. There is also a public park on the west side that would work as it has a sandy beach, but you would need to transport boat from parking lot to the water. You would likely be the only boat on the lake. I am actually heading to California for month of January as weather is dismal for me! Feel free to PM me if you want more info.

Hi Randy,
Thanks for the Reality Check.
I was just up there looking at all that water and ........Wishful Thinking.
I hope you find warmer weather than it's been here in Mendocino (22degrees last night)
Maybe I'll see you on the Lake this summer.
Wishing you Fair Winds and Warm Water.
